Rob Bell in his newly published (totally awesome, must read) book, Velvet Elvis, recognizes that Christian faith is myterious to the core. My youth last week stated that they want to explore that mystery. They want answers. In the TV series--CSI, Without a Trace and Law and Order mysteries get solved and questions all have answers. Are all the Bible mysteries going to be solved with Bible study? Or as Rob Bell stated, "True mystery, the kind of mystery rooted in the infinite nature of God, gives us answers that actually plung us into even more . . . questions."
How to explore this concept in worship? How do we texturize this?
Last night our youth in a planning session came up with the idea of a Murder Mystery Theater party. So I am throwing this idea out to the "compost pile". Click "comment" to toss some of your ideas, experiences, and advice in and we'll see how God grows this myterious worship adventure.
We could do it with an audition theme and have people participate in an audition for a new show on mtv, having them play different misc improv games as an audition, the link is a place where there are a bunch of games. what do u think?
